Brody Simms Named #HLGOLF Co-Men’s Player of the Week

Cleveland, OH-Sophomore Brody Simms has been named the Horizon League Men's Golf Co-Player of the Week after a top-five finish at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate this past week.

Simms finished tied for fourth in the tournament posting rounds of 71-77-70 to finish at 5-over par for the tournament. It is Simms' highest finish of the season in a strong field at the event hosted by Tennessee Tech.

Simms carded his lowest round of the week in the final round, finishing under par after starting his day with three consecutive birdies. His final round score moved him up 15 spots into the top five by the end of the day.

Simms co-led the field in par-4 scoring for the week, finishing at 4-over par on the par-4's through the 54-hole event. He tallied eight total birdies throughout the three rounds.

This is the first league weekly award for Simms, who shares this week's honors with Oakland's Robert Burns who also recorded a top-10 finish this past week.
