Vikings Conclude Play at Seattle U Redhawk Invitational at Chambers Bay

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. - Cleveland State shot a final round 297 - its lowest of the tournament - and moved up one spot to finish 15th at the Seattle U Redhawk Invitational at Chambers Bay that concluded on Tuesday.

Chambers Bay, a par-71, 7,153-yard course, hosted the 2015 US Open.

CSU opened the tournament with rounds of 310 and 313 on Monday before posting its lowest round of the event today.

Junior Anton Krecic was the teams top finisher as he tied for 18th place with a 224 total, which included a final round 73 today. Krecic improved every round at Chambers Bay, shooting 77-74 on Monday.

Senior Joey Krecic also improved every round, shooting 78-77-72 (227) to finish tied for 33rd place. He made a team-best six birdies during the tournament.

Senior Blake Prince shot 78-80-73 to tie for 49th place with a 231 total. His final round was highlighted by an eagle two on the par-four, 449-yard seventh hole. Prince was one of just 13 players in the field to make an eagle.

Sophomore Zach Robbins (77-88-79) and freshman Jules Blakely (79-82-83) tied for 84th place with 244 totals. Blakely played the par three's in even-par for the tournament, one of just 14 players to do so.

The Vikings are back in action at the Penn State Invitational on April 14-15. It will be the final event of the season for CSU before the Vikings travel to the Horizon League Championship (April 22-24) where CSU has won the last four titles.
