Luth Tied for Third After Two Rounds at Marshall; Vikings in 10th

CHARLESTON, W. Va. - Cleveland State senior Patrick Luth shot an opening round 65, tied for the second lowest round in school history, and is tied for third place at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational that began on Monday at the at the 6,345-yard, par-70 Berry Hills CC.

Luth made five birdies in the morning round for his 65 and followed it with an even-par 70 in the afternoon.

He will enter Tuesday's final round four shots behind Virginia Tech's Sarit Suwannarut who holds the lead with a 36 hole total of 131, while Erik Lindwall of Eastern Kentucky is one shot ahead of Luth.

The Vikings are in 10th place as a team, carding rounds of 281 and 300 today. The first round 281 is tied for the fourth lowest round in program history.

Junior Blake Prince is tied for 46th place after rounds of 73-75 (148), while sophomore Anton Krecic carded rounds of 71-78 (149) and is tied for 50th place.

The final round of the event will be played on Tuesday morning.
