Vikings Finish as Runner-Up at Davidson Invitational

DAVIDSON, N.C. - Cleveland State shot a final round 306 and finished as the runner-up at the Davidson Inivtational that concluded on Tuesday at the par-72, 7,208-yard River Run CC.

Charlotte won the event with a 54-hole total of 902, while CSU was eight shots behind in second place. Radford was third at 913 and was followed by Queen's University of Charlotte (921), Marshall (925), Davidson (927) and Gardner-Webb (947).

Joey Krecic was CSU's top finisher, placing third with rounds of 80-71-73 (224) for his third top-five finish of the year. He leads the team with eight rounds of par or better this season.

Blake Prince finished eighth overall at 227 (73-77-77), while Paul Minko carded rounds of 77-76-77 (230) and tied for 12th place.

The Vikings are now out of action until March 28-29 when CSU competes in the Villanova Wildcat Invitational at White Manor CC in Malvern, Pa.
