Vikings One Shot Off Lead After Two Rounds at Davidson Invitational

DAVIDSON, N.C. - Cleveland State shot rounds of 305 and 299 and is in second place after two rounds of the Davidson Inivtational that began on Monday at the par-72, 7,208-yard River Run CC.

CSU's second round 299 was the lowest round of the day for any of the seven competing teams.

The Vikings will enter Tuesday's final round just one shot behind Charlotte which shot 302-301 (603). Host Davidson is in third place, five shots behind CSU at 609, while Queen's University of Charlotte (611), Radford (613), Marshall (619) and Gardner-Webb (628) round out the field.

Blake Prince and Pat Luth led the Vikings on Monday as the duo both stand at 150 after 36 holes and are tied for fourth place. Prince shot rounds of 73-77, while Luth carded back-to-back rounds of 75. They are four shots off the lead.

Joey Krecic carded rounds of 80-71 (151) and is tied for seventh place. He was one of just two golfers to card an under-par round today.

The final round of the tournament will be played on Tuesday morning.
