FINAL RESULTS: Team | Individual

VERONA, N.Y. - Cleveland State shot a final round 289 - the lowest round of the day - and Joey Krecic claimed medalist honors to help the Vikings finish second of 15 teams at the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate.

The 54-hole event concluded on Monday at the par-72, 7,105 yard Kaluhyat Golf Course and was hosted by Missouri.

Krecic, who started the day tied for second place, three shots behind Wilson Sundvold of Missouri, carded a final round even-par 72 to claim medalist honors by one shot at four-under-par. He made a five-foot par putt on the 18th hole to clinch the win by one shot over four players who finished at three-under-par.

Krecic opened the tournament with rounds of 68-72 and became the first CSU golfer to claim a tournament title since Andrew Bailey won the 2014 Horizon League Championship.

Paul Minko finished tied for 12th place with rounds of 71-74-73 (218), while Blake Prince shot a final round four-under-par 68 to move up 29 places and tie for 23rd place overall with a 54-hole total of 223 (77-78-68).

Prince's final round 68 was tied for the lowest round of the day.

The Vikings entered the final round in third place behind Missouri and Boston College, but used the strong final round to move past BC in the final standings.

Missouri shot a final round 291 to win the team title at 862, which was 10 shots ahead of CSU.

The Vikings are back in action on Sept. 14-15 when CSU competes at the Marshall Invitational.
