Men's Golf Returns to Action at William & Mary

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State men's golf team returns to action at the William & Mary Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate that runs from Sunday through Tuesday (March 22-24) at the par-70, 6765-yard Kingsmill Resort, River Course.

The course is the longtime home of the Michelob Open on the PGA Tour, the Michelob Ultra Open on the LPGA Tour and is the current home to the LPGA Kingsmill Championship. This is the 33rd year that W&M's home spring tournament will take place at the River Course.

The 29 team field will play one round per day with two waves of tee times off #1 and #10 from 7:45 am until 9:10 am and 12:00 pm until 1:30 pm on Sunday and Monday and a shotgun start on Tuesday at 9:00 am.

In addition to CSU and host W&M, the field includes Air Force, Appalachian State, Bunghamton, Boston College, Bucknell, Dayton, Delaware, Eastern Kentucky, IPFW, James Madison, La Salle, Longwood, Loyola Chicago, Loyola (Md.), Maryland, Miami (Ohio), Mississippi State, Missouri, Ohio, Old Dominion, Penn State, Radford, St. Francis (Pa.), St. Joseph's, Temple, Towson and Youngstown State.

The Vikings have not competed since the Benbow Invitational on March 9-10 in Jacksonville, Fla., placing third in the seven team field.

Pat Luth was CSU's top finisher, carding round of 73-75 to finish third overall. The trio of Mitchell Moore, Joey Krecic and Blake Prince all tied for 11th place with 36-hole totals of 152.

Luth is posting a 74.8 scoring average this year and has two top-five finishes, while Moore is averaging 74.9 this season, including a team-low round of 65 during the fall season.

CSU is next in action at the Wright State Invitational on April 5-6, its second to last event before the Horizon League Championship at the end of April.
