Men's Golf Finishes Third at Benbow Invitational

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Cleveland State shot a final round 299 and four Vikings placed in the top-11 as CSU finished third at the Benbow Invitational that concluded on Tuesday at the par-71, 6,548-yard Jacksonville Beach G.C.

Florida Atlantic won the event with a 36 hole total of 593, while Butler was the runner-up at 603, one shot ahead of CSU. Carson-Newman was fourth at 619, while Evansville (625), Florida A&M (631) and Hampton (691) rounded out the field.

Pat Luth was CSU's top finisher, carding rounds of 73-75 (158) to place third overall. The trio of Mitchell Moore, Joey Krecic and Blake Prince all tied for 11th place at 152.

Prince shot a 73 today, tied for the second lowest round of the day.

The Vikings are back in action on March 23-24 when CSU competes at the William & Mary Invitational.
