Balcar & Luth Both in Top-10 at UC Bearcat Invitational

HEBRON, Ky. - Michael Balcar shot an even-par 72 and Pat Luth carded a 73 as the Cleveland State men's golf team is tied for seventh place after the first round of the UC Bearcat Invitational on Monday and the par-72, 7,150-yard Traditions Golf Club.

As a team, CSU shot an opening round 303 and are in a three-way tie with Dayton and Marshall for seventh place, just two shots behind fifth place Oakland and Tennessee Tech.

The 14 team field began play in the first round, but play was halted for almost three hours due to rain before teams finished the first round.

Balcar is tied for sixth place after his opening round 72, while Luth is tied for eighth place. Mitchell Moore opened with a 77 and is tied for 41st place.

Playing as an individual, Joey Krecic is tied for 15th place at 74.

The final round of the tournament will be played on Tuesday.
