Vikings in 9th After Two Rounds of Memphis Intercollegiate

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Cleveland State men's golf team shot rounds of 307 and 299 and is in ninth place out of 15 teams after the first two rounds of the Memphis Intercollegiate that were played on Monday.

The event is being played at the par-72, 7,334-yard Colonial C.C. and is CSU's first tournament since the Vikings competed at the Benbow Invitational on March 10-11 in Jacksonville, Fla.

Senior Andrew Bailey shot an even-par 72 in the morning and followed it with a 76 and is tied for 17th place with a 36-hole total of 148. Senior Brendan Byrne is tied for 34th at 152 (78-74), while junior Michael Balcar followed an opening round 82 with an even-par 72 and is tied for 40th place at 154.

The final round of the event will be played on Tuesday morning.
