Vikings in Fourth Place After Two Rounds at Marshall Invitational

HUNTINGTON, W. Va. - Cleveland State shot rounds of 289 and an even-par 284 and is in fourth place of 15 teams after two rounds of the Marshall Invitational that began on Monday at the par-71, 6,573-yard Guyan Golf and Country Club.

Richmond leads the event with a 36-hole total of 564, two shots ahead of second place Cincinnati. William and Mary is in third place at 567 and is followed by Cleveland State (573) and Loyola (Md.) at 577 round out the top-five.

Senior Brendan Byrne and junior Michael Balcar are tied for 11th place after the first two rounds as both players shot rounds of 71-70 for a one-under-par total of 141.

Senior Andrew Bailey and sopohomore Nick Paxos are tied for 30th place. Bailey carded back-to-back rounds of 73, while Paxos shot 74-72. Freshman Pat Luth shot 79-72 (151) and is tied for 59th place.

The final round of the event will be played on Tuesday morning.
