VERONA, N.Y. - Cleveland State senior Andrew Bailey shot rounds of 66 and 70 and leads after the first two rounds of the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate that began today at the par-72, 7,105 yard Kaluhyat Golf Course.

The Vikings are in fourth place out of 14 teams after rounds of 290 and 298.

Bailey, the Horizon League Player of the Year in each of the last two seasons, opened with a six-under par 66, a career-low and tied for the third lowest round in CSU history. His second round two-under par 70 helped Bailey open up a two shot lead over Ryan Zech of Missouri who carded rounds of 68-70.

Senior Brendan Byrne fired back-to-back rounds of 74 (148) and is tied for 25th place, while junior Michael Balcar and sophomore Mitchell Moore are tied for 38th place. Balcar shot consecutive rounds of 76, while Moore shot 74-78.

Freshman Patrick Luth shot identical rounds of 78 and is tied for 48th place.

Host Missouri leads the tournament at 563 and is 17 shots ahead of second place McNeese State (580). Central Connecticut State is in third at 583, while CSU (588) and Binghamton (591) and Connecticut (591) round out the top five.

The final round of the tournament will be played on Monday.
