JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Cleveland State junior Andrew Bailey fired a final round 67, the lowest round by an individual in the 36-hole event, and finished as the runner-up at the Benbow Invitational that concluded on Tuesday.

Bailey, who shot an opening round 74 and was tied for 15th place, moved up to tie for the lead after 36 holes, finishing at one-under-par 141, but fell to Bethune-Cookman's Ryan Ficker in a playoff. Ficker shot rounds of 72-69 to tie Bailey at 141.

The Vikings shot a final round 297, one shot better than Monday's first round, and remained in fifth place with a 36-hole total of 595.

Florida Atlantic shot rounds of 289 and 293 to win the tournament with a 582 total and was followed by Bethune Cookman (586), Northern Kentucky (591), Evansville (592) and CSU in the top-five.

Bailey's final round 67 was his career-low round at CSU by one shot and is also tied for the fifth lowest round in CSU history. It is also the lowest round by a CSU golfer since Kent Monas carded a 66 at the Indiana Invitational on April 9, 2011.

Jon Riemer followed his opening round 73 with a 77 today and tied for 20th place at 150, while Michael Balcar shot 74-77 (151) and tied for 25th place.

CSU is now out of action until March 25-26 when the Vikings compete in the Memphis Intercollegiate.
