CLEVELAND, Ohio - Behind three sub-par round, the Cleveland State men's golf team shot a final round four-under-par 284 and finished second of 11 teams at the CSU Invitational that concluded on Tuesday at the par-72, 7,014-yard Canterbury G.C.

CSU's 284 was the second lowest round of the entire tournament, topped only by Appalachian State's 281 today.

Oakland won the tournament by three shots over CSU, carding rounds of 291-292-288 (871). The Vikings shot rounds of 297 and 293 yesterday, finishing with a 54-hole total of 874.

"We did what we had to do today and posted a low number, but couldn't quite catch Oakland," head coach Steve Weir said.
