CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State men's golf team has signed Pat Luth (Medina, Ohio) to a National Letter of Intent. Luth will join the Vikings for the 2013-14 academic year.

"We are excited to have Pat join our program," head coach Steve Weir said. "He had a very successful career and is more than capable of coming in and helping us maintain the success that we have enjoyed as a program."

Luth was a four-time letterwinner at Medina H.S., helping the squad to the state championships all four year. He led the team to a ninth place finish in 2009, fifth place finishes in 2010 and 2012 and a sixth place showing in 2011.

His scoring average decreased each year, culminating his senior year when he averaged 37.2 for nine holes and 75.9 for 18 holes.

A three-time all-conference selection, Luth was the conference MVP as a senior when he also earned medalist honors. He earned first team All-Northeast Ohio honors as a senior after earning second team accolades as a junior.

Luth helped lead his squad to four straight conference titles, a pair of sectional titles and two district championships.
