CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State men's golf team returns to action on Friday and Saturday (April 12-13) when the Vikings compete in the Detroit Titan Invitational at the par-72, 7,142-yard Prestwick Village G.C.

It will be CSU's first event since the Vikings competed in the Memphis Intercollegiate on March 25-26.

The 12-team field will include host Detroit, Canisius, Cleveland State, Green Bay, Humber (Ontario), Iona, Madonna, Oakland, Valparaiso (will have an A & B team), Wright State and Youngstown State.

At that event, the Vikings battled cold, wind, snow and two delays, finishing 13th of 16 teams with rounds of 313-319-311. The event featured four teams ranked in the top-50 in the country.

Junior Andrew Bailey, the reigning Horizon League Player of the Year, paced the Vikings with rounds of 77-80-74 (231) and tied for 29th place.

Bailey continues to lead the squad in scoring with a 72.9 scoring average, including eight rounds of par or better and three top-10 finishes. He ranks 23rd in the country in fairways (.768) and greens in regulation (.714).

Senior Jon Riemer has been consistent this season, ranking second on the team with a 74.9 scoring average. He is ranked fourth in the nation in sand saves (.714), helping the Vikings rank 18th as a team at .427 this season.

Sophomore Michael Balcar sports a 75.2 scoring average thanks in large part to just 29.5 putts per round which ranks him 24th in the country.

Following the event at Detroit, the Vikings conclude the regular season by competing in the Purdue Boilermaker Invitational on April 20-21, leading up to the Horizon League Championship in Florida from April 26-28.
