Gary Waters Basketball Camps Approach

June 11, 2008

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- With the academic year complete and summer recruiting a month away, the Viking men's basketball staff will dedicate a good portion of the remainder of June to host several basketball camps for area youth.

The camps begin with the Basketball Training Camp, a two-day event that will be held June 13-14 in the Wolstein Center. This team camp will feature at least four games for each participating team.

The first of two Individual Camps will be held over four days from June 16-19 in the Wolstein Center. Open to boys and girls grades K-8, this camp will run from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.

The second Individual Camp will run from July 28-31 with both individual camps costing $100.

The second of two team camps, the Basketball Team Shootout, will be held June 20-21 in the Wolstein Center and feature a format where each team will play at least four games.

"The CSU Basketball staff puts a lot of effort into making sure that campers learn the game of basketball the right way," CSU head coach Gary Waters said. "Campers will take part in drills that will help them to become better basketball players while also learning through talks from the experienced camp staff. It is a great experience."

Complete information, including downloadable camp flyers, is available on the men's basketball page at CSUVikings.com.
