CLEVELAND, OHIO -- The playoff picture for the Cleveland State Vikings in the upcoming Horizon League Championship became much clearer on Thursday night as all three games that affected the ability of the Vikings to finish in second place in the standings went in favor of CSU.

What was once several paragraphs of rhetoric regarding the seeding possibility for CSU can now be boiled down into two simple sentences.

If Cleveland State wins and Wright State loses on Saturday, the Vikings will enter the tourney as the No. 2 seed.

If either CSU loses or Wright State wins, then the Vikings will be the No. 3 seed in the tourney.

The difference between the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds is a big one as the No. 2 seed will receive a bye in both the first and second rounds, beginning play in the semi-final round on Saturday (March 8) at 6:00 p.m. in Indianapolis against a team that would have played two games already.

As the No. 3 seed, CSU would host No. 10 Detroit in a first round game on Tuesday night (March 4) at 7:00 p.m. in the Wolstein Center and then play the winner of the No. 6 vs. No. 7 first round game in Indianapolis on Friday (March 7) at 6:00 p.m.

In the event that the Vikings are seeded third, tickets will be available beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday morning (March 3). Single game ticket prices are $10, $12, $15, $18 and $20.
