Postgame Player Notes

CSU junior Norris Cole -- Reached double figures for the eventh time this year, totalling 16 points.
-- The scoring effort allowed him to pass the 800 point mark for his career, ending the game with 815 points.
-- Added five assists

CSU junior Jared Cunningham
-- After scoring just 10 points in his last three games and losing his starting assignment, he came off the bench to score a career-high 18 points. (old high 14 vs. Wilmington)
-- He was seven-for-12 from the field (2-for-3 from three-point)
-- He added 5 rebounds.

CSU sophomore Nigel Ajere
-- Scored in double figures for the second straight game, tallying a career-high 14 points. (old high 12 at Detroit).
-- Was five-for-12 from the field and four-for-four from the line.
-- Added six rebounds and a career-high three steals.

Miscellaneous Notes
-- This was the first meeting between CSU and Wilberforce, an NAIA school based out of southwest Ohio.
-- The game was only the second contest in Woodling Gym since the Wolstein Center opened in the fall of 1991. The Vikings are now 124-21 all-time in the building and has never had a losing season in it.
-- After going with the same starting lineup for the previous eight contests, CSU head coach Gary Waters made a change, inserting sophomore Nigel Ajere into the starting unit in place of Jared Cunningham, who had started the first nine games.
-- CSU never trailed in the game, though the contest was tied at 2, 5 & 7. The Vikings used a 9-1 run to take a 16-8 lead (12:54) and its largest lead was 26 points (52-26, half).
-- The CSU scoring total was the first time that the Vikings went over the 100-point mark since scoring 107 points vs. Geneva on Dec. 1, 2007. The 113 points tied for the fifth-highest single game total in CSU history.
-- The Vikings had a decisive advantage on the boards, out-rebounding WU, 40-18 (+22). It was the largest rebounding margin this year for CSU (old +7 vs. Florida A&M).
-- CSU shot the ball well from both the field (43-73, .589) and three-point (12-20, .600). The 12 treys was the most this year (9 vs. Sam Houston State & Virginia) and the second-highest single game total in CSU history (record 14 at Michigan State (12/16/05).
-- The Vikings forced 25 turnovers, making 13 steals. CSU had a 31-11 edge in points off turnovers.
-- All 12 Vikings who played, scored.
-- The Vikings handed out a season-high 28 assists (7th highest in CSU history).
