CSU Junior Norris Cole
l Continued his torrid scoring pace, tallying 24 points.
l It was his 10th career 20-point game and second of the season.
l Was 10-for-12 from the line, making him 25-28 for the year (.893).
l Also handed out a career-high matching six assists.
l Made a pair of steals to raise season total to 10.

CSU Sophomore Trevon Harmon
l Recorded his third straight double figure scoring effort (and fourth of his career), scoring 16 points, 12 coming in the first half.

CSU Jared Cunningham
l Scored in double figures for the third time in four games, finishing with 10 points.
l Was three-for-four from the field with a trey.
l Added three rebounds.

Miscellaneous Notes
l This was the first meeting ever between Cleveland State and Sam Houston in basketball.
l The game was a second round contest in the Cancun Challenge. CSU defeated Florida A&M on Thursday night while the Bearkats dropped a tight decision at Kentucky. Each team will now travel to Cancun, Mexico to play games on Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
l The win extended CSU's ongoing Wolstein Center win streak to 14 games, the third longest home winning streak in school history (trailing the record 22 game streak from 1985-87 and a 15 game win streak). CSU is 28-4 in the Wolstein Center the last three years.
l The Vikings scored the first 12 points of the game (17:05) and later opened up leads of 17-2 (15:53) and 20-4 (13:45). Sam Houston would close to within three (31-28, 3:47) before CSU took a 43-36 lead to the halftime break.
l CSU opened the second half by scoring the first six points, holding Sam Houston State without a point for the first 4:40 to open a 49-36 lead. SHSU missed its first eight shots of the half.
l Both teams shot the three ball well, especially in the first half. CSU was nine-for-10 from three in the first half (.900) and .724 for the game (9-13) while Sam Houston State as seven-for-11 in the opening stanza and 11-for-22 for the game (.500).
l CSU forced its opponent to commit 15 or more turnovers for the third time this season as SHSU turned it over 19 times.
l CSU shot better than 50-percent from the field for the second straight game, going 25-for-47 (.532).
