CHICAGO, Ill. - Cleveland State dropped its regular season finale at Loyola, 87-60, as the Ramblers shot 60-percent from the field on Saturday afternoon in Gentile Arena.

The Vikings fell to 14-17 overall, while Loyola improved to 15-15. Both teams finished the league slate with 5-11 records, but Loyola earns the No. 7 seed in next week's Horizon League Championship by virtue of its sweep of the Vikings this year.

CSU will be the No. 8 seed in the tournament and open play on Tuesday night at fifth-seeded UIC. The Vikings swept the regular season series from the Flames.

Bryn Forbes led the Vikings with 15 points and six rebounds, while Charlie Lee had 14 points and four assists. Devon Long scored 12 points with six rebounds and Marlin Mason had nine points off the bench.

Jordan Hicks of Loyola led all scorers with 26 points, while Christian Thomas had 19 and Jeff White scored 13.

The Ramblers scored the first six points of the contest en route to a 14-2 lead just seven minutes in and led at the half, 37-26.

A Nick Osborne dunk and three-pointer by Devon Turk extended the lead to 42-26 less than a minute into the second half and the Ramblers rode Hicks' 22 point second half the rest of the way.

The Ramblers shot 31-of-52 (.596) from the field, while CSU was just 22-of-61 (.361). Both teams committed eight turnovers.

The winner of Tuesday's CSU-UIC game will play the winner of fourth-seeded Green Bay and ninth-seeded Milwaukee in a second round tournament game on Friday night in Valparaiso.
