Postgame Quotes

Cleveland State Head Coach Gary Waters:
"It was a tough battle out there. That's a very good team and they fight you until the end. They are the best offensive team in the league because they run they stuff efficiently. But I have to give my team credit because we did a great, great job defensively."

"Tim played his tail off out there. He played hard and rebounded and defended. And J-Mo hit some big shots for us. Overall, it was a great team effort."

"We went to a zone to not get Aaron in foul trouble. They are a great shooting team and run their offense so well. But they hit to many shots."

"If Aaron can play we will have an advantage all the time. We can match-up with teams inside much better. He is a key to getting that done for us."

"We had a long talk after the Detroit game. We got out-toughed against Detroit and that can happen, but not in your own house. We can't let people come in here and do that. We practiced on Friday and had a great practice and I had to say very little to them. They were really ready."

"In the last moments of the game you have to make free throws, not turn the ball over and not give up offensive rebounds. You have to prevent that from happening."

"Lance gave us great minutes. He hasn't played much because of a broken foot. I want to play him because he is a talented player, but he doesn't know all the things we do. But when he went in there, he did some great things."

"Our guys played hard and we turned them over 17 times and that's a great offensive executing team and any time you can do that, you have to like your chances."

"We don't have to be a better team, we just have to be a better team that day."

Cleveland State's Jeremy Montgomery:
"When I got my fourth foul it was pretty stressful because I couldn't be out there to help my teammates. I told me team that I was going to be ready when I got back in there."

"It was a big run at the end of the second half. It gave us some momentum and really helped us."

Wright State Head Coach Brad Brownell:
"Good win for Cleveland State. It was a competitive game and our turnovers were the difference. They got us to play faster than we like. We didn't do as good a job in the second half of slowing ourselves down and executing better. The competitive nature in both teams was very high."

"The one on one shot by Montgomery was huge. We had some good looks at the rim, but couldn't finish them down the stretch."

"They got into the paint based on turnovers and layups. We defended Pogue fine. Offensive rebounding we did a decent job. They made shots and you have to give them credit. Anytime you get into transition, it gives guys confidence."

"It was a game of runs and we had a chance down the end, but couldn't make shots. I just hope my team would have taken care of the ball better and that was the difference."

"We had trouble getting our offense going in the beginning of the second half. They didn't get that far away from us. Both teams played great defense and it got harder to make baskets."

"They are so athletic that they are all over you. They force you to make more one on one plays than to play team basketball. They are going to foul you because they play so hard and then we have to go to the free throw line and knock them down."
