Postgame Quotes

Cleveland State vs. Youngstown State
Feb. 24, 2007

Cleveland State Head Coach Gary Waters: "I thought that this was something that was long overdue. Our young men have been working hard. We came in wanting to do three things: win for seniors, show people here where program is headed and prepare for conference tournament. I thought we did all of those things."

On Tonight's Win: "The thing I think this team has been lacking is to finish games in the right manner. We did that tonight. I thought we've played good basketball our last three games.

On Guarding Quin Humphrey: "We knew we had to take him away, so we did a box-and-one and triangle-and-two when [Keston] Roberts was in. It definitely made it easier when Roberts went out [with an injury]. We wanted to make other guys beat us. Our number one objective was to shut them down."

Senior Guard Raheem Moss On Senior Night: "I didn't feel too emotional. Thought last night that time really does fly. Just tried to come out today and not get too emotional about it."

On Going To UW-Green Bay: "We've been in every game this year. Any given night I feel we can beat anyone we just need to go out and play hard."

Senior Forward Patrick Tatham On Senior Night: "I just wanted to come out and play hard. I just wanted to win so bad and get a win on Senior Day.

Youngstown State Head Coach Jerry Slocum On Generating Offense: "We didn't have intensity we played with in the last two weeks. We were very emotionless and didn't get good play from our bench. When a leading guy goes down, other guys have to step up and we didn't get that."

On Fears Of An Emotional Letdown: "I feared the last two days that we were going to have an emotional letdown. I thought Cleveland State came out and played a good game and [Patrick] Tatham made some shots early and [Raheem] Moss had a career night."

Junior Guard Byron Davis On The Game: "We didn't overlook them [Cleveland State], we knew it was going to be a big game coming in, and wanted to keep our momentum going. Now we have to put this game in the past and look forward to Tuesday's home game [in the Horizon League Championship]."
