Recap |  Final Stats |  Notes

Cleveland State Head Coach Gary Waters:
"Milwaukee is not as simple as you think to play. Big guys shoot it and guards drive it. We were pretty fortunate they didn't hit some of those shots. But our guys were resilient and we didn't let them off the hook. They continued to play hard."

"If we win all our games, it will fall into place, but winning all your games isn't that simple. We have two games coming up in Green Bay and Youngstown State. They are teams to be reckoned with."

"We talked about getting off to a fast start and it was paramount that we did. If they thought they could play in our place, I thought it could be a problem. I have to give them credit for coming back in the second half."

"We don't have eight losses if D'Aundray is playing for us. We have forgotten about the past. D'Aundray hit some shots today, but that's not the only value he brings to this team. He hustles and gets us loose balls and extra possesions. But now, some of our younger guys are starting to contribute and that helps make the bench a little longer."

"Last time we played them, they scored inside and outside. If they were going to beat us today, it was going to be from the outside and they weren't on today. We didn't want to give them easy baskets inside."

Cleveland State's D'Aundray Brown:
"My conditioning is still off a little bit. It's getting up there and I'm getting better. I'm a little fatigued."

Cleveland State's J'Nathan Bullock:
"It's always a blast to have D'Aundray. He gets loose balls and hustles. He brings energy and that trickles down to everybody else."

"I think we learned our lesson and we will be ready to battle for whatever spot we get."

"We wanted to keep Eayres off the low block. He made a couple of three's that hurt us and we have to do a better job of contesting some shots."

Cleveland State's Cedric Jackson:
"I started looking for other guys and wanted to get rebounds and help guys get open shots."

"Our main focus was doing what we do and getting a win on our home court. We have to take it one day at a time and not overlook anybody. We have to keep our guys focused because this is going to be a long, hard road down the stretch."

Milwaukee Head Coach Rob Jeter:
"The game is about getting easy shots and the best shots you can get. We had some good looks, but didn't knock them down. If you can't get to the free throw line, that's not going to get it done on the road."

"They are a physical and tough team and they bully you when you come in here. If you're not tough enough to handle it, you lose games."

"A lot of teams have come in here and been down early and found a way to battle back. Clearly, we need to take care of the basketbal and we did a much better job of that in the second half. We needed a few shots to go down for us or a few free throws to slow things down."
