Cleveland State vs. Valparaiso

Game Notes
• Today was the 39th all-time meeting between the two schools. CSU still leads the series, 28-11, but the Crusaders won both meetings this year. Valpo earned a 72-66 decision at home on Jan. 15.
• Valapraiso took over possession of first place of the Horizon League with the win, improving to 11-3. The Crusaders hold a one-half game lead over Cleveland State (10-3) with just over two weeks left in the regular season. CSU still hosts Butler, Detroit and Wright State and travels to Milwaukee and Green Bay this year. Valparaiso plays at Youngstown State and hosts Loyola, UIC and Butler to conclude the regular season.
• CSU hit a three-pointer for the 425th straight game, a continuing school record.
Jeremy Montgomery played in his 130th straight game, tying J'Nathan Bullock for second place on the all-time list in school history.
• The Vikings trailed at the half for the first time in five games. The last time CSU was down after 20 minutes was Jan. 15 when the Vikings trailed, 29-25, at Valapraiso. It was just the sixth time all season that CSU trailed at the half.
D'Aundray Brown returned to the starting lineup after missing the last game at UIC (Feb. 3) with a groin injury. He played eight minutes in the first half, but did not play in the second half.
Anton Grady blocked five shots before fouling out. It was the 10th time this year that he had multiple blocks in a game.
• Tonight's crowd of 4,521 was the second largest home crowd of the year, topped only by the 4,739 against Akron on Dec. 10.
• Valparaiso shot 11-of-22 from three-point, while the Vikings managed just 1-of-13.
• Ryan Broehkoff (24) and Richie Edwards (20) combined for 44 of Valpo's 59 points.
