This was the 45th all-time meeting between CSU & Detroit with the Titans entering the game with a 32-12 series lead. The Vikings have now won a school-record four straight series games and has swept the season series for only the second time ever.
The Vikings improved to 8-2 at home this year and 20-4 over the last two years, tying the school record for home wins in consecutive seasons (20 in 1998-00 & 1999-01).
