Vikings Vanquish Wisconsin-Green Bay, 76-72
Senior guard Jamaal Harris poured in a career-high 29 points to offset a hot shooting night by visiting Wisconsin-Green Bay as Cleveland State beat the Phoenix 76-72 in Midwestern Collegiate Conference play at Goodman Arena Thursday.

Harris tied three others for a school record with seven three-pointers made and set a school standard for single-game three-point field goal percentage at 87.5 percent (7-of-8).

The game was knotted at 31 at the half, one of 11 ties in the contest. UWGB's Mike King forced the 11th tie at 63-all on a layup at 3:43 but Harris answered with a pair of free throws and then his seventh trey of the night to give the Vikes a 68-63 advantage with 57 seconds left. After a Phoenix miss on the next possession, the Vikes made eight of 10 free throws in the last 30 seconds to counter nine points from UWGB's DeVante Blanks.

UWGB, 9-10 and 2-4 in the MCC, shot 58.7 percent from the field (27-of-46), including 57.1 percent (8-of-14) from three-point range but only 62.5 percent (10-of-16) from the line. The 12-9, 4-2 Vikes, riding Harris' performance, also shot well from behind the arc at 56.3 percent (9-of-16) but hit 41.1 percent (23-of-56) overall from the field.

CSU pulled down 16 offensive rebounds en route to a 34-26 advantage on the boards. Senior postman Kevin Ross hauled in a career-high 13 caroms to go along with 10 points for his second double-double of the year. Chancellor Collins paced Green Bay with nine boards.

In addition to Harris and Ross, Theo Dixon and Tahric Gosley also hit double figures with 15 and 10 points, respectively.

King paced the Phoenix in scoring with 19 points, going 9-of-12 from the field while Blanks had 12 and Greg Monfre added 10.
