Cleveland State vs. Milwaukee

POSTGAME QUOTES

CSU Head Coach Gary Waters
"This was a team effort. I thought defensively, we executed as well as you can execute at times. We need to work on turning it over but the kids worked hard and followed the game plan and when you do that you have a chance to win."

"I was disappointed right before the half because I thought we let them back into the game. We were playing well enough to be up 20 at halftime. We gave them a couple of easy buckets. After we got our minds straight at halftime, we realized we had to push Milwaukee because they want to play slow."

"When we shoot the ball well, the game is over. We're going to defend you - we just need to hit shots."

"When I watched tape of Milwaukee, the teams that they shut down bad were the teams who only had one or two three-point shooters. We have about four. If we rotate the ball and are unselfish, you can get as many looks as you want. Today, we knocked them down. When you hit shots, it's a different game."

"We used to have an offense we ran against a zone where our guys just ran around the perimeter. We developed an offense where we attack. We used to settle, but now we're going at the zone."

"Our guys know that the way we sometimes shoot, they know shooting as well as we did today was a joy and they'll accept it for what it is. Our defense will stay and we can always count on that."

Senior Guard Trevon Harmon
"I think we played together today. Our focus was there from the beginning until the end."

"We just took what the defense gave us. We had an emphasis on good shot selection. We wanted to attack inside-out. Once we started attacking, our outside shots opened up."

Junior Forward Tim Kamczyc
"Having an inside presence like Aaron Pogue working down low, it makes the defense focus on him. I was left on an island a lot and I practice taking the three-point shot so I just stepped up and knocked them down."

"Going into every game, we put a focus on not fouling. We're a very aggressive team so we try to play physical and aggressive so sometimes it's hard to limit the fouls but that's always a point of emphasis. Once coach reminds us, we usually do a better job of not fouling."

Senior Forward Aaron Pogue
"We knew Milwaukee would be physical but I go against physical guys every day in practice. I just wanted to finish and be strong with the ball."

"I believe I can do better for the team than I did today. I wasn't as healthy in the first nine games so I'll continue to get treatment and work hard. I'll stay after practice and gets shots in. We have a saying around our team: `no mas' - we don't want to lose again in these last nine league games."

"Anton Grady is a big help off the bench. Last year, coach wasn't sure what was coming off the bench, but he doesn't need to hesitate with Anton available. He's going to be a pretty good player."
