CLEVELAND -- Junior Algevon Eichelberger posted his second career double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds, but Cleveland State saw its three-game winning streak come to an end with an 80-65 loss to Toledo on Wednesday in the Wolstein Center.

Eichelberger tied his career high with 13 rebounds and also had two steals to lead the Vikings. Senior Kasheem Thomas reached double figures in scoring with 11 points as he finished the game 4-of-5 from the floor including making 3-of-4 from the three-point line.

Cleveland State, which dropped to 4-5 overall on the season, had its season-best three-game winning streak halted by the Rockets. Toledo improved to 6-2 on the season as five players reached double figures in scoring.

Cleveland State also received nine points each from Tyrese Potoma and Deante Johnson. The Vikings shot 53.8 percent from the three-point line for the game and also outscored the Rockets 23-7 in second chance points.

Toledo used a three-pointer by Keshaun Saunders to take a 32-21 lead at the 4:30 mark of the opening period, but the Vikings would rally.

Back-to-back layups by Craig Beaudion and Eichelberger and a free throw from Hugo Ferreira brought the Vikings to within 32-26 at the 3:18 mark of the opening period.

The Rockets stretched the lead to 11 points, but Eichelberger hit a pair of free throws with 19 seconds remaining and Toledo took a 37-28 lead into halftime.

Cleveland State cut the lead to seven points early in the second half, but Toledo responded with a 10-0 run to push the margin to 49-32 at the 15:48 mark of the second period.

The Vikings trimmed the lead to 11 points midway through the second half, but could never cut the deficit under double figures for the remainder of the contest.
