Just finished my first season at Cleveland State and I couldn't be more excited! Every year my goal is to see that our TEAM finds a way to overachieve or accomplish more than reasonably expected and be better as a whole than simply the sum of its parts and I believe we managed to do that.
Our other goal is to continually improve over the course of the season. We definitely checked that box!
There are so many people I want to personally thank:
Our players and their fight to find a way to succeed through so many challenges and shocked the world in the post season all the way to the Horizon League Championship Game!
Our TEAM Captain, Kenny Carpenter, for his relentless perseverance and leadership. His "care level" is through the roof!
Our TEAM Managers!! We have an extraordinary and dedicated staff of managers that are hard at it all the time. We couldn't function without them. Just ask our players! I sincerely appreciate you guys!
The people who bring that "good old spirit" to the games like our Cheerleaders, Band and Dance Team. I owe y'all a TEAM party!

As you can see, a successful Major College Basketball Program requires a lot of coordinated effort from a lot more people than just the players and coaching staff. That's why I'm so excited that we were able to capture the attention and start to ignite the imagination of our Campus and great hometown! We're excited for the opportunity to give Cleveland one more reason to be Believeland!
We're just getting started, and I know, for a program like ours to achieve the level of national success that we aspire to, requires a COMMUNITY effort! So, I continue to call on this great city to jump on board and have some fun being a part of the process of building one more reason to be a proud Clevelander!
STUDENTS, alumni, individuals, small groups, large groups, grassroots groups, corporate groups, non profit groups, church groups, MEDIA, you name it, there's room for everyone and we greatly appreciate all of you!
Before you know it, CSU basketball games are going to be "the place to be" and "the place to be seen!" Don't wait, help us get there! You can count on this - you'll be supporting a great group of student-athletes who will always be fighting for their lives on that court to make you proud!
