Edwards Scores Career-High 28 in Setback at #1 Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky.  – Playing the top-ranked team in the country for the second time in program history, Cleveland State fell at No. 1 Kentucky, 101-70, on Wednesday afternoon at Rupp Arena.

Stat Leaders

· Rob Edwards led the Vikings with a career-high 28 points. He hit 12-of-21 from the field and added four rebounds.
· Bobby Word scored 14 points with three rebounds.
· Jamarcus Hairston tallied seven points and three rebounds, while Derek Sloan and Evan Clayborne both grabbed five rebounds.
· Malik Monk led five Kentucky players in double figures with 23 points. 

Inside The Numbers

· Today's game was the second time that CSU has played the top-ranked team in the country in program history (Cincinnati, 1999).
· Today's game was the 48th all-time contest for CSU against a ranked opponent. The Vikings have six wins over top-25 teams in program history with head coach Gary Waters owning five of those victories.
· CSU shot 25-of-64 from the field, while UK was 38-of-73 from the field. The Wildcats held a 47-36 advantage on the boards and scored 52 points in the paint.
