Vikings Fall at Ohio, 64-62, in CIT First Round

ATHENS, Ohio – Antonio Campbell hit two free throws with 4.7 seconds left to give Ohio a 64-62 win over Cleveland State in the opening round of the CollegeInsider.com Tournament on Wednesday night in the Convocation Center.

CSU finishes the season at 21-12, while Ohio improves to 24-11 and advances to the second round.

Bryn Forbes scored 20 points and grabbed a career-high nine rebounds, while hitting four three-pointers. He improved his career three-point total to 142, moving into 10th place on the all-time list at CSU.

Anton Grady scored 10 points, while Charlie Lee finished with 11 points and six assists. Marlin Mason added eight points and nine rebounds.

Campbell led the Bobcats with 21 points, going 9-of-10 at the free throw line.

The Vikings had a chance to tie the game, but Jon Harris' 20 footer at the buzzer was off the mark.

Neither team led by more than six points all night as the game featured 13 ties and 12 lead changes.

OU took a four point lead (60-56) with 3:29 left, but two free throws by Trey Lewis and a Harris layup tied the contest at 60-60 with 1:23 left. Nick Kellogg answered with a jumper from the corner with the shot clock wining down to give the Bobcats a 62-60 lead with 46 seconds to play, but Forbes hit a pair of free throws with 32 seconds left to tie the game for the 13th and final time.
