CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State had its seven-game win streak snapped on Saturday afternoon in the Wolstein Center, falling to Green Bay, 68-54.

The Vikings fell to 18-10 overall and lost for the first time since a setback to Wright State on Jan. 19. CSU also slipped to 9-4 in the Horizon League. The Phoenix improved to 21-5 overall and remained in first place in the league at 11-2.

CSU is two games ahead of third place Valparaiso (7-4) which plays at Milwaukee tonight.

The Vikings were playing without Bryn Forbes, the team's leading scorer and sixth best scorer in the Horizon League at 16.2 points per game. He missed his first career game with a stomach virus.

Trey Lewis led the Vikings with a game-high 20 points, while Sebastian Douglas – starting for Forbes – finished with nine points and five rebounds. Jon Harris tallied eight points, while Marlin Mason grabbed nine rebounds and Anton Grady had eight.

Alec Brown led Green Bay with 18 points and nine rebounds, while Keifer Sykes tallied 18 points.

The Vikings committed just four turnovers, tying the single game school record for fewest turnovers in a game.

The Phoenix took a quick 16-2 lead and the lead reached as many as 20 points in the first half. But behind 13 first half points by Lewis, the Vikings were able to close within 32-19 at the half.

Back-to-back buckets by the Phoenix to open the second have extended the lead back to 17 points (36-19) and the advantage grew to as many as 23 points (54-31) with 9:14 to play.

CSU had a run in them, cutting the deficit to nine points (57-48) on a Mason layup, but two free throws by Sykes started a string of seven straight Phoenix points as Green Bay closed out the victory.

The Vikings, who shot 50-percent of better from the floor in each of the last five games, were just 21-of-68 (.309), including 5-of-23 (.217) from three-point.

The Vikings continue their four-game homestand when CSU hosts Milwaukee on Saturday (Feb. 22) at 2:00 p.m. in the Wolstein Center.
