CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State had five players in double figures and shot 51-percent from the field, but a late second half run by San Francisco helped the Dons claim a 91-82 victory over the Vikings on Wednesday night in War Memorial Gym.

The loss drops CSU to 1-1, while USF improves to 2-0.

Charlie Lee finished with 15 points, five assists, four rebounds and three assists, while Sebastian Douglas scored 15 points, one shy of his career-high. Jon Harris added 14 points and five rebounds, while Trey Lewis and Bryn Forbes scored 12 points each.

Lewis added five assists, giving him 10 through the first two games of the season.

Mark Tollefsen scored a game-high 18 points for USF and Cole Dickerson had a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds.

The Vikings took a 65-56 lead with 9:17 to play on a Douglas layup, but USF responded quickly, using an 18-2 run over the next four-plus minutes to take a 74-67 lead with 5:30 to play. The Vikings cut the USF lead back to four points (75-71) on a pair of Forbes free throws, but a three-point play by Matt Glover ignited an 8-2 run as the Dons assumed a 10 point lead (83-73) with just over two minutes to play.

USF shot 19-of-32 (.594) from the field in the second half.

The Dons started quickly, racing out to a quick 8-0 lead three minutes into the contest, but back-to-back three-pointers from Marlin Mason and Lee after a CSU timeout helped slice the deficit to 10-6. CSU extended its lead to 20-15 on a Lewis jumper and would lead at halftime, 38-35.

The Viking bench played a large role in getting CSU the halftime lead, scoring 25 of the team's 38 first half points, including 11 from Douglas and nine by Harris.

The Vikings are back in action on Friday (Nov. 15) when CSU plays at Texas-Arlington at 8:30 p.m. EST.
