SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Cleveland State men's and women's fencing teams recently competed at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships at the University of Detroit.
The men's team was led by Liran Gross who finished as the first alternate in the foil, while Andy Snell was selected as the first alternate with the epee.
In addition, the Vikings had two athletes chosen as second alternates in Shawn Wright (epee) and John Downey (sabre).
The four will now await word to see if they have qualified for the NCAA Championships which will be contested March 13-16 at Ohio State.
