EVANSTON, Ill. - The Cleveland State fencing team dropped all of its meets at the Northwestern Duals, but several individuals had fantastic performances at the meet.

John Marshall, one of four Vikings to finish with a winning record, went 6-2 on the day. He went undefeated against North Carolina and Princeton and led the epee squad to narrow 5-4 losses to both teams.

Tom Bienvenu also had a good day in the saber division, finishing with a 9-8 record.

Also fencing well was Patrick Weber, who won at least one bout against each opponent the Vikings faced on Sunday (Feb. 6).

On the women's side, Alex Dickinson and Stephanie Lee both had very good days. Dickinson went 12-9 while Lee was 11-10, including unbeaten performances against Northwestern, California Tech and Farleigh Dickinson.

"We had several good performances today," head coach Andy Tulleners said. "Stephanie Lee did the best fencing she's done in her career, and a couple others had very good days."

Up next for the Vikings is the Midwest Conferences, set to be held at Notre Dame on March 5 and 6.
