Ndjeka Wraps Up NCAA Fencing Championship

Columbus, OH-Jesse Ndjeka capped his run at the NCAA National Tournament on Saturday at Ohio State University.

The tournament concluded Saturday with the final two rounds of pool play. Ndjeka claimed a victory in Round 4 over Penn State's Xu Tingwei with a 5-4 decision.

He finished 2-2 in the fifth round with wins over Incarnate Word's Julian Speir and Daniil Mazur of St. John's. All totaled, Ndjeka collected six victories in the tournament and finished in a tie for 21st place in the overall standings.

Ndjeka was one of 24 fencers from across the country who competed in the men's epee tournament. The top four student-athletes advanced to the semifinals for the right to compete for the individual national championship.
