Ndjeka Wraps Up Day One at NCAA Championships

Columbus, OH-Jesse Ndjeka finished up his first day of competition at the NCAA Championships. Ndjeka competed against 23 other fencers from across the country in the men's epee championship pool play rounds. All individuals matched up in three rounds of pool play as part of today's competition. The completion of the second and third rounds, as well as the final two rounds are scheduled for tomorrow.

In round one, Ndjeka finished with a 2-5 record. He collected a 4-2 win over Jorge Gana of Johns Hopkins and a 5-2 win over Yale's Thomas Whelan in the opening round.

In round two, he collected a 5-4 win over Penn's Joey Wu. Ndjeka is 1-3 in the second round with the back half of the draw still to go. He is currently 0-4 in round three also with the back half of the draw to go.
