COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Cleveland State men's and women's fencing teams competed at the 2016 NCAA Midwest Regional on Saturday at French Fieldhouse.

The Vikings had seven top-20 finishes on the day.

Freshamn Griffin Winterman had CSU's top finish with a sixth place finish in the epee, while senior Paul Duchow placed 10th in the epee.

Sophomore Matthew Gebbett had a strong showing with an eighth place finish in the saber, while freshman Adam Mack recorded a ninth place showing in the foil and freshman Alex Hoirup finished 12th in the foil.

The CSU women were led by Sarah Mok who placed 14th in the foil, while senior Caitlin Thompson finished 17th in the foil.
