Vikings Compete at Notre Dame Duals

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Vikings were at Notre Dame on Saturday February 7th. They faced local teams from the Midwest region, Notre Dame, University of Detroit Mercy, Lawrence, and Wayne State.

"Today was the last regular season meet we had. I believe we fenced to our ability. I would have liked to see a win over Lawrence men's whom we lost to 13-14, but both the men and women were consistent in their fencing. It was pretty good finish to a season that has seen a lot of ups and downs."

The men ended 2-2 on the day. Junior epeeist Paul Duchow and freshman saberist Matthew Gebbett led the day both with 10-2 records on the day.

The women's team was 1-3 on the day. Freshman foilist Sarah Mok continued to lead the women's with a 8-2 record for the day.

The Vikings will go to Northwestern in Evanston for the Midwest Conference Championships on February 21st.
