A LOOK AT WHAT'S HAPPENING

Men's Basketball
• Cleveland State (6-14, 2-6 HL) concludes a four-game road trip with two games this week, playing at Green Bay on Monday (Jan. 23) at 7:00 pm ET and at Youngstown State on Saturday (Jan. 28) at 7:00 pm.
• The Vikings split the first two games of the trip, winning at Oakland on Monday and falling at the buzzer in Milwaukee on Friday night.
• Rob Edwards scored a career-high 32 points in the win at Oakland, hitting 10-of-14 from the field and had 17 points and a career-best seven steals at UWM. 

Women's Basketball
• Cleveland State (10-9, 5-3 HL) will return home for just its second homestand this month, hosting Milwaukee on Thursday, January 26 and nationally ranked Green Bay on Saturday, January 28.
• Thursday's game against the Panthers will be the annual Kids Day Game with tip set for 11:00 a.m. from the Wolstein Center.
• Last week the Vikings hit the road for three games, picking up a 74-62 victory at Oakland and falling at Youngstown State and Detroit. 

Lacrosse
• Cleveland State has its first outside competition of the spring campaign this week. The Vikings travel to Bellarmine for an exhibition Saturday, Jan. 28, at 1:00 pm. 

Men's Swimming & Diving
• Cleveland State (3-2, 1-1 HL) returns home to host defending League champion Oakland Friday, Jan. 27.
• The Vikings fell at Wright State Satruday, 151-143, as the meet came down to the final race.
• Sophomore Tommi Wolst won three individual events on the day (100 back, 200 back and 200 IM). 

Women's Swimming & Diving
• Cleveland State (3-4, 1-2 HL) returns home to host defending League champion Oakland Friday, Jan. 27.
• The Vikings lost, 160-133, at Wright State this past Saturday in what was their third dual in eight days.
• Sophomore Molly McNamara swept the butterfly events for the third straight dual and won the 200 IM. 

Men's Tennis
• The Vikings will take a week off from competition before returning to the courts at Bucknell (Feb. 3) and Penn State (Feb. 4).
• Cleveland State opened the Spring Season at nationally ranked Ohio State (L, 4-0) and Duquesne (W, 5-2) last week, finishing the first week of play with a 1-1 record.
• Picking up singles wins on the week were Nico Mostardi (No. 1), Colton Buffington (No. 2), William Malm (No. 3), and Benjamin Slade (No. 5). 

Women's Tennis
• Cleveland State will continue the 2017 Spring Season at Toledo this weekend, facing the Rockets in a 3:00 p.m. match on Saturday, January 28.
• Last time out, the Vikings opened their dual match slate at Duquesne (L, 6-1) and Michigan State (L, 7-0).
• Senior Victoria Bensimon picked up a win at No. 3 singles against Duquesne, becoming just the ninth Viking all-time to record 60 career singles wins. 

Wrestling
• Cleveland State (1-6, 0-2 EWL) hosts its first dual of the season Thursday, Jan. 26, against Lock Haven.
• The Vikings fell at nationally ranked Rider, 43-12, in their lone action of the past week.
• Sophomore Evan Cheek and senior Nick Montgomery both posted wins by fall against the Broncs. Cheek notched his team-leading 16th win of the season and now has 10 wins via fall or technical fall.

VIKING OF THE WEEK

Rob Edwards | Sophomore | Men's Basketball | Detroit, Mich.

Edwards averaged 24.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.0 steals in CSU's two games last week. He poured in a career-high 32 points in Monday's win at Oakland and added seven rebounds. In Friday's game at Milwaukee, he posted 17 points, seven rebounds and a career-high seven steals. Edwards was 16-of-34 (.471) from the floor in the two games.

OTHER TOP PERFORMERS

Victoria Bensimon | Sr. | Women's Tennis
Became just the ninth Viking all-time to record 60 career singles wins following a 6-1, 6-4 victory at No. 3 singles at Duquesne. 

Chrishna Butler | Sr. | Women's Basketball
Earned her first collegaite starts at Oakland and Detroit and averaged 11.5 points and 34.0 minutes over the two games. She posted a career-high 17 points at Detroit. 

Tommi Wolst | So. | Men's Swimming & Diving
Won all three individual events he entered in the dual meet at Wright State.
