
CLEVELAND, OH - After a change in schedule due to weather, Cleveland State hosted Ohio University on Sunday (Feb. 22) in the Vikings final match of the regular season. The Bobcats ended the Vikings 5 game win streak by defeating CSU, 25-15.
Xavier Dye picked up the Vikings first win as he pulled through after being down 3-2 with four seconds left in the match and overtaking the lead and the win, 5-4. #17 Riley Shaw won in a 21-7 major decision against Jesse Webb from OU. At 125, #17 Ben Willeford followed suit with an 18-6 major decision over Zak Hassan. Mike Carlone finished off Joel Shump in an 8-0 major decision to give the Vikings a 15-13 lead. The Bobcats outlasted CSU in the final matches to take the win.
The Vikings will move on to the EWL Championship March 7th at 10 a.m. in Lawrenceville, N.J.
