CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State cross country team will finally kickoff the 2021 campaign this weekend, participating in the Eastern Illinois Spring Open on Saturday, February 6.
The women's 6K race is slated to start at 2:45 p.m. EST at the Tom Woodall EIU Panther Trail.
Cleveland State will be one of five teams competing at the EIU Spring Open, joining Southeast Missouri, Saint Louis, DePaul, and the Panthers.
Saturday's meet will be the first race for the Vikings in 449 days, as Cleveland State was last in action at the 2019 NCAA Regional on November 15, 2019.
The Vikings will be under the direction of head coach Jason Hudson, who is returning for his third season at Cleveland State.
