CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State cross country team will close out the 2019 campaign this weekend, traveling to Madison, Wis. for the NCAA Great Lakes Regional. The women's 6K race is slated for a 12:30 p.m. start at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Course.

Cleveland State will be one of 33 teams competing this weekend, and one of eight Horizon League teams. The Vikings will be represented by eight runners at the NCAA Regional meet, with Anna Brandt, Jessica Byler, Olivia Hammons, Hannah Korte, Zoe Lexovsky, Heather McArdle, Haley Rozeski, and Kylie Scott set to compete.
Last Time Out…
The Vikings finished eighth at the Horizon League Championship, paced by junior Anna Brandt who finished 12th individually with a time of 21:08. Hannah Korte was the second Viking to cross the finish line, placing 42nd overall, while Olivia Hammons (58th) and Heather McArdle (67th) also recorded top-70 finishes.
Brandt Named Second Team All-Horizon League
After recording a 12th place finish at the Horizon League Championship, Anna Brandt was named to the All-Horizon League Second Team, making her the only Viking in program history to earn All-League accolades during three seasons. Brandt earned First Team All-League honors as a freshman and sophomore, while she was also named the Freshman of the Year during her rookie campaign.
Cleveland State's Top Three Finishers
Over the last four races, Cleveland State has had the same top three finishers, as Anna Brandt, Olivia Hammons and Hannah Korte have paced the Vikings. Brandt has been CSU's top finisher during every race so far this season, while Hammons has been the second Viking to cross the finish line during three races, and Korte finished second on the team in the most recent race at the #HLXC Championship.

Friday's race will mark the sixth and final race for the Vikings this season, while it will be the third 6K of the year.
