Greene Named #HLVB Player Of The Week

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – After helping Cleveland State to a series split against Oakland earlier this week, Cleveland State volleyball senior Hannah Greene has been named a Horizon League Player of the Week. This marks the first weekly honor for the Vikings this season.

Against the Grizzlies, Greene combined for a team-high 25 kills on a .367 hitting percentage. In the first match of the week, Greene tallied a season-high 13 kills on a .526 clip (13-3-19) and followed that up with 12 kills in the series finale. 

So far this season, Greene has posted double-digit kills in five matches, including all four contests in Woodling Gymnasium. Through the first eight matches, she is averaging 3.00 kills per set to lead the Viking offense and rank ninth among #HLVB players. 

Greene also combined for six total blocks in the Oakland series, finishing the week ranked seventh in the league standings averaging 0.96 blocks per set this season. 

With the six total blocks against the Grizzlies, Greene moved into 10th place in the CSU Record Book with 352 career blocks, while she is also tied for eighth with 295 block assists and tied for ninth with 57 solo blocks.
