Brandt Earns Spot On #HLTF All-Academic Team

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Horizon League announced its Indoor Track & Field All-Academic Teams Friday afternoon, with Cleveland State junior Anna Brandt earning a spot on the 16-member team.

Brandt, who is earning her fifth Track & Field or Cross Country All-Academic Team honor, carries a perfect 4.00 GPA pursuing a degree in health sciences/pre-physical therapy, and has been named to the Cleveland State Dean's List every semester of her collegiate career.

Throughout the indoor campaign, Brandt set program records in the 500, 800, Mile, and 3000 Meter runs, bettering her own personal marks from last season in all four events.

Brandt notched eight top-five finishes during the indoor season, including a first-place showing in the 800 Meter Run at the Findlay Open. At the #HLTF 2020 Indoor Championship, Brandt recorded a pair of third-place finishes in the 800 Meter and Mile run, earning Honorable Mention accolades in both events.

The Horizon League recognizes student-athletes with Academic All-League honors in each of its 19 championship sports. To be eligible for Academic All-Horizon League consideration, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.20 or higher (based on a 4.00 scale) and have completed at least one year at the member institution, having earned 24 semester-hour or 36 quarter-hour credits.
