CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State track and field team will return to action this Friday, February 7 and Saturday, February 8, as the Vikings are set to compete in the Akron Invitational and the Oberlin College BSN Invitational.
The Akron Invite will run Friday and Saturday, while the Oberlin Invite will be conducted on Friday only.

This marks the fifth weekend that the Vikings will be in action during the indoor season, and their first time back on the track since late January.
Last time out, the Vikings had a strong showing at the Spire Invitational, recording nine top-five finishes, led by Azsah Bradley who placed second in the 60 Meter Dash. The Vikings also posted seven top-five CSU Record Book marks throughout the day, including two in the 600 Meter Run.

So far this season four Vikings rank in the top-five among Horizon League finishes, as Monica Johnson ranks second in the 60 Meter Hurdles, and Azsah Bradley (60 Meter Dash), Anna Brandt (800 Meter Run) and Hannah Korte (5000 Meter Run) all rank fifth in their respective races.
After this weekend, the Vikings will have two more tune-ups before the Horizon League Indoor Championships (Feb. 29 – March 1), as they are set to compete at the Doug Raymond National Qualifier (Feb. 14-15) and Silverston Invitational (Feb. 21).
