CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State track & field team will kickoff its indoor slate this weekend, taking part in the BG Opener on Friday, December 6.

The Vikings will be one of three teams competing this weekend, joining Miami (Ohio) and Bowling Green.

Cleveland State returns 18 letterwinners for the 2019-20 campaign, including sophomore Monica Johnson who earned Honorable Mention All-League honors at last year's Indoor Championship.

Friday's BG Opener will be the first of seven meets for the Vikings during the indoor season, which will culminate in late February at the 2020 Horizon League Indoor Championship.

Cleveland State will be under the direction of first-year head coach Amber Williams, who joined the Vikings earlier this fall following stints at Ball State and Colgate.
