ORLANDO, Fla. - The Cleveland State women's tennis team wrapped up its spring break trip on Wednesday, falling to Fairfield, 6-1, in Orlando, Fla. The Vikings went 2-2 on the trip, and moved their record to 7-11 on the season with the four-match split.

The Vikings got their point at No. 1 singles, as Sarah Galon defeated Fairfield's Diana Webb, 6-4, 6-2. Each of the other singles matches were dropped in straight sets.

"We didn't play as well today as we did against Long Island," head coach Brian Etzkin said. "Sarah played well again at No. 1. She never really let her opponent get into the match."

Galon and Morgan Ungerott also picked up a win in doubles play, defeating Webb and Taylor Barbowitz, 8-5, at No. 1 doubles. The pair has now won their last five doubles matches, dating back to a 9-8 decision over Wright State's top pairing on March 7.

The Vikings return to the court on Thursday, March 25, when they host Pittsburgh at the Malaga Tennis Center, weather permitting. Cleveland State then heads to the road to take on Detroit and Oakland on March 26 and 27.
