INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Following yesterday's season opening win at Western Michigan the Cleveland State women's tennis duo of Klara Mrcela and Lara Prosenjak has been named the Horizon League Doubles Team of the Week.

Mrcela and Prosenjak led the Vikings to a 4-3 victory at Western Michigan, keeping Cleveland State perfect in season openers under head coach Frank Polito.

"This is a well deserved honor for Klara and Lara, they had a great fall season and it was nice to see them pick up where they left off. Monday's match was a great season opener for us, we were able to battle some adversity and really focus as a team to get the win. Hopefully this is the first weekly honor of many this season," head coach Frank Polito said.

Mrcela and Prosenjak helped the Vikings pick up the crucial doubles point in the 4-3 victory against WMU, posting a 6-4 win at the top of the doubles lineup.

The No. 1 doubles tandem now has a team-best 8-2 record on the year, after posting a 7-2 mark during the fall season.

Mrcela, Prosenjak and the Vikings will return to action on Saturday, February 1, when they host John Carroll and St. Francis (PA) in the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion.
